I communicated through my work. One of the things I am most excited about going to East Carolina University. In the beginning, I wanted my pumpkin to respect my future. My first inspiration was creating a pumpkin that looked like a pirate. For the whole semester, I have focused on making my work represent ECU in some way. This allowed me to show my excitement. I reflected. In the middle of creating my pumpkin I had a few set backs. At first, the purple I used was very streaky. With the help of Mrs. Schumann, I found a purple that wasn't very opaque like the first color. At this point I had to start over. I restarted and went in a different direction. I solved problems. After my stem broke off, I started a new pumpkin. I wanted this piece of art to go in a separate direction than the first. I became inspired by the color blue. After creating a blue base for my pumpkin, I knew what I wanted my end product to be. I envisioned a night sky draping over a city. At this point I immediately started working on a skyline. In the end i was happy with what I was able to accomplish in the time I did.
